Is Black Friday better than Cyber Monday?
It depends on the category. Black Friday has historically been stronger on televisions and large appliances, Cyber Monday on laptops and small electronics. Neither is reliably cheaper across the board.
Do prices really drop, or do they rise first?
Both happen. The only way to know is to record what an item costs several weeks beforehand and compare. A percentage off an inflated sticker is not a saving.
