Chrome Industries discounts: 20%, not the 25% you have read

Chrome Industries runs 20% for students via Student Beans and 20% for military, veterans and first responders via GOVX. Both are full-price only. There is also a Pro Program almost nobody writes about.

The rate is 20%, and the sites saying otherwise are guessing

You will find Chrome Industries listed at 25%, 30%, even 50%. The verified figure for both the student and the military programme is 20% off full-price items.

Two examples of how bad the noise gets. One site claims a promo code lets military members get 30% off. Another states Chrome gives “a discount of $100 to all shoppers that have a valid ID” and that you can scan a student ID in store. Neither is a real programme.

Students: 20% via Student Beans

Verify your student status with Student Beans and you get 20% off eligible full-price products.

The limits matter: it applies to full-price items only, and it cannot be used with any other promo code. So during a sale you are choosing between the sale price and your 20%, not adding them together.

Military, first responders and government: 20% via GOVX

Chrome runs its military programme through GOVX rather than ID.me. Eligible: active duty military, veterans, first responders, law enforcement, government employees and medical personnel.

GOVX registration is free for life. The discount is 20% and, like the student rate, applies to full-priced items only.

The Pro Program, which nobody covers

This is the most interesting thing Chrome runs and it is almost absent from coupon coverage.

The Pro Program offers special pricing to people employed in the cycling industry, working couriers, and retail dealers. Verification requires proof of employment rather than an ID check.

If you work in a bike shop, ride as a courier, or sell gear for a living, this is worth applying for before you use a 20% consumer discount — industry pricing is typically deeper.

When the sales beat the discount

Because 20% never stacks, the question becomes whether a sale beats it. Chrome's markdowns go deep: Black Friday, Cyber Monday and end-of-season clearance regularly reach 40% off, and clearance can run to 60%.

So the honest advice is seasonal. Outside sale periods, verify and use your 20%. During a clearance event, check the sale price first — it will usually win.

Shipping, and one number to correct

Free standard shipping on US orders applies from $100. Some listings say $50; the $100 threshold is the one that appears in Chrome's own terms.

Expedited options are available at extra cost. Delivery typically runs three to five business days.
