OneASICS and the ASICS discount programs: what the rates really are
Coupon sites list the ASICS appreciation discount at 30%, 40% and even 60%. ASICS' own page says up to 25% on footwear and up to 30% on apparel — and you cannot get verified at all without joining OneASICS first.
- The real rates: up to 25% off full-priced footwear and up to 30% off full-priced apparel. Not a flat 30%.
- You must join OneASICS before you can verify for any appreciation discount.
- Six eligible groups — including staff at Orangetheory, Crunch and LA Fitness, which almost nobody mentions.
- The discount is good for up to two purchases per month, not one code and done.
- New members' 10% off is the one discount ASICS allows on top of an appreciation discount.
The rate everyone gets wrong
Search for the ASICS military discount and you will find coupon sites quoting 30%, 40%, and in older posts 60%. ASICS' own discount programs page states the current position plainly: eligible customers get up to 25% off full-priced footwear and up to 30% off full-priced apparel, online or in store.
ASICS also notes that discount amounts vary by community — so the group you verify under affects what you get. Treat any single flat percentage you see quoted elsewhere as unreliable.
Who qualifies
ASICS lists six eligible communities:
Medical professionals
First responders
Military service members and veterans
Teachers
Students
Employees of select gyms, specifically including Orangetheory Fitness, Crunch Fitness and LA Fitness
That last one is genuinely unusual and is almost never written about. If you work at one of those chains, you have access to the same programme as military and medical staff.
You have to join OneASICS first
This is the dependency that catches people out. ASICS is explicit: you must be a OneASICS member to get verified for a discount. If you are not a member, there is no route to the appreciation rate at all.
Verification runs through SheerID. Depending on which group you are verifying under, you may need a work or school-issued email address — used only for the check, since the discount then attaches to your existing OneASICS account rather than to a separate code.
The one stack ASICS actually permits
Most brands forbid combining discounts. ASICS names an exception in its own terms.
The appreciation discount “may not be combined with any other offers, discounts, promotions, or benefits, except with the New OneASICS Members Get 10% Off First Purchase offer.” So if you join, verify, and buy for the first time, both apply — the 10% lands after the SheerID discount, applied in your bag at checkout.
That is worth planning around. Verify before your first order, not after.
Two purchases a month, not one code
Another detail that sits only in ASICS' own terms: once verified, you can use your discount on up to two purchases per month.
Compare that to brands like Nike, where the code is single-use and expires in two weeks. An ongoing two-a-month allowance is a materially better programme, and nobody advertises it.
What it excludes
The discount applies to eligible full-priced in-stock products only, while supplies last. It does not apply to sale or reduced-price merchandise — which matters at ASICS, because previous-generation models get discounted heavily and those are exactly the shoes people want.
Also excluded: prior purchases, gift cards, gift certificates, taxes, and shipping and handling. And no bulk buying — ASICS defines that as five or more units of the same SKU.
What OneASICS gives you on its own
Free to join. New members get 10% off a first order, valid through 31 December 2026 per ASICS' promotional terms, single transaction only.
The ongoing benefits are shipping and returns: free standard shipping from $50 for members, against $125 for non-members, plus free returns. There is a flat $15 rate on two-day shipping, and a referral offer worth 10% off.
ASICS reserves the right to cancel, extend or modify any of this at any time without notice.
Is it worth joining
If you qualify for any appreciation discount, joining is not optional — it is the only route to verification.
If you do not qualify, the question is narrower: 10% off a first order, plus a $50 free-shipping threshold instead of $125. On a single $130 pair of shoes that is around $13 saved and shipping you would have got anyway. On several smaller orders a year, the shipping threshold is the real benefit.
Either way it costs nothing but an email address, and the appreciation discount is gated behind it.
